Founder & Director, Centre for Corrosion Studies (C2S)

Isaac Otu is a Materials Engineer, Corrosion Engineer, researcher, and science communicator passionate about advancing corrosion science, asset integrity, and engineering education across Africa.

He holds a BSc in Materials Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and currently works in the oil and gas sector, where he focuses on corrosion management, protective coatings, inspection, and infrastructure reliability.

His research interests span corrosion science, surface engineering, advanced materials, energy storage systems, advanced coatings for corrosion protection, and sustainable infrastructure.

He established C2S to bridge the gap between academia and industry — creating a platform for research dissemination, professional development, student engagement, and industry collaboration, with the aim of strengthening corrosion awareness, research capacity, and infrastructure resilience across Africa.
